Brittany Mc Donough is a student that sparkles in all that she does and is a well deserving recipient of the Top Puppy Award.

Mr. Mezeske said of Brittany, 'She is one of the most conscientious students in the school who balances out a great work ethic with a bright personality.  She is a fantastic choice for Top Puppy.'

Ms. Burnham, her cross country coach said, 'Brittany is such a positive influence on the team.  She demonstrates motivation and discipline everyday, but also brings her sense of humor and humility to the team, which her team mates appreciate.'

Leader and role model in the classroom and athletics, Brittany is also active in the community where she serves food to the homeless out of her dad's restaurant every Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Brittany Mc Donough, you are a well deserving Top Puppy Winner!

Top Puppy - September 23, 2013

Pat Manning has been amazing this year.  He comes to advisory with a wonderful attitude, has baked healthy snacks for his fellow advisees unsolicited, participates wholeheartedly, and I'm just so proud of his growth from freshmen to sophomore year.

Deion Lafayette Ninivaggi has gone out of his way to make me feel welcome to BHS and to the library.  He frequently comes to visit and since the first day has been welcoming and friendly.

Top Puppy - September 02, 2013

Madison was a student of mine last year in Geometry and was such a wonderful addition to my class.  Aside from being kind and generous to her teachers and peers, she is one of the most dedicated students I have met in my seven years of teaching.  She puts a great deal of effort in her work and never gives up on herself.  During finals she worked and studied so hard but she was unable to finish her exam.  Two days later, after grades were already entered, she cam to me asking if she could finish her exam just for herself, not for any extra credit.  I think this dedication to academic excellence definitely deserves an award!
