Top Puppy - March 30, 2015

This weeks Top Puppies have been nominated by Ms. O'Connell and Ms. Nichols who oversaw an amazing weekend for Bulldog students:

BHS's Model UN Delegation just won Best Large Delegation (the biggest award) at EagleMUNC, Boston College's MUN Conference this weekend. The kids also received a dozen individual awards, including 2 best delegates. We would like to nominate these two individual award winners, Reema Danaf and Bailey Nixon, as top puppies this week, although they represent the whole team. BHS's delegation of 27 beat out over 500 students from 35 schools to win the delegation award, and these two ladies were major contributors.

I would like to nominate Chris Violette and Deveney Reber as this week's Top Puppies. They have both done some amazing work this month representing themselves and the BHS French department as a series of competitions in our state and region. Chris won the grand prize and Deveney took second in the first annual French Language Video contest with the Franco-American Center and the Euclide Gilbert French Language Foundation; Deveney then took first and Chris took second at the local French Oratorical Contest hosted by the Richelieu Club of Manchester, which won Deveney the chance to represent central NH at the regional competition on Saturday.

Congratulations Chris and Deveney!

Top Puppy - March 16, 2015

The library staff would like to nominate Katharine Cusack for Top Puppy. Katharine had the idea of starting a book swap in the library and as part of our library makeover, we thought this was a great idea! Now students and faculty can leave a book if they'd like to donate or keep a book if they find one they like! We dedicated a bookshelf in the new silent study area for the book swap. It's creative ideas from students like Katharine that make the BHS Library a great place to be!

Congratulations Katharine

Top Puppy - March 9, 2015

This week's Top Puppy has been nominated by Ms. Pomeroy who said of our winner:

I would like to nominate Molly Quinn for Top Puppy. She bravely stepped forward to participate in the High School to advocate for those with intellectual disabilities. She braved the coldest weather in the history of the Plunge. What dedication and resilience! Molly also raised $800. Way to go, Molly! We are proud of you.

The Unified Basketball team and coaches would like to nominate the JV cheerleaders and their coach for cheering for both West and BHS equally at our game this week. It was very exciting to have them cheer both teams on. It was truly the meaning of Unified!
