Top Puppy - January 26, 2015

This week's Top Puppy has been nominated by Ms. Baez and Ms. Lee who said of our winner:

We would like to nominate Anna Bogursky. She stepped out of her comfort zone and submitted her work to a national literary magazine. Her work has been published on their website. Her confidence and passion for writing has inspired many of her peers to share and submit their personal writing to various writing competitions.

Congrats and keep writing Anna!

Top Puppy - December 22, 2014

This week's winners have been nominated by Ms. Farrar:

I would like to nominate Breannah Picard and Caitlin Handy as top puppies this week. These two girls exemplified the spirit of giving by helping a fellow student. "Tis the season" was the explanation given. The receiving student was so overwhelmed and touched by this small act. It is amazing when something so small has such a significant impact!

Top Puppy - January 12, 2015

This week's Top Puppy has been nominated by Ms. Cooney who said of our winner:

I would like to nominate Jacqueline Kapoian for top puppy. She was not only chosen to be a class leader by her peers but truly showed her bulldog pride when delivering the charitable donations to their groups that benefited from our leadership class week of change. Jacque organized and lead the groups to the charity groups and helped deliver the checks and books to the various groups. She is a selfless, sweet, intelligent young woman who makes me proud to have had her in my class.

Top Puppy - January 5, 2015

This week's Top Puppy has been nominated by Ns. Nichols who said the following of our winner:

I would like to nominate Tommy LeMay for Top Puppy! Tommy joined Model UN just this year as a Junior and has quickly become one of the most integral members of our delegation. Since day 1, Tommy has committed himself to learning all he can about Model UN and has worked hard to apply all of his research to becoming an incredible delegate. At the most recent conference in Chicago, Tommy won an Honorable Mention award as Surinam in the Organization of American Staates Committee. But for Tommy this was not the end, the next day he wrote to his chair asking for constructive criticism about his performance at the conference so he could get better in the future. To quote the response he received; "for you to ask for constructive criticism as a junior in high school is quite impressive. Many adults avoid asking for constructive criticism out of fear and that ultimately hinders their ability to be successful." I am so proud of Tommy not only for the dedication he has shown to Model UN this year but for striving to be better - success is surely in his future! We are so lucky to have him as part of our team.
